“The Crocodile” (by Michael Powell, chinese ink illustration by Gaston Caba)

One sunny day whilst strolling through a park, Gorm met a girl; he didn’t usually meet girls often, well at least not ones as beautiful as she, as he was a hairy man. The frilly girl with sunshine eyes grabbed his hand and they strutted across the park hand in hand.

No sooner had they crossed the bridge over the lake, a giant crocodile pounced on Gorm, munching him up in one bite with his big strong jaw.

It turns out that this girl was in cahoots with the crocodile, for they were the real lovers of this story.

She was acting as bait, meeting men all day, with her lovely moon kissed lips and daffodil hips and walking them across the park, over the bridge for her reptiled lover to feast upon.

Talk about fixing a husband his dinner.
